The Internet was a mistake

It was supposed to bring us together and improve our lives through easier access to information. Instead, people seem more unhappy and stressed than ever before.

The problem seems to lie in capitalism, as usual. Companies noticed that they could increase productivity through digitalization and, most of all, sell data that is generated from people using their websites. This behavioral data became "digital gold", and is now the whole point of the Internet.
I deeply wish for oblivion. To experience and understand it.

Inner peace

People these days lack inner peace. They may not even be aware of it. I think everyone should take some time off the Internet each day, especially before going to bed.

Can't rest, too busy living up to the madeup standards imposed on me by capitalist overlords.

A lot of insomnia is caused by the fact you keep your mind occupied with Internet stuff all day so your mind never gets to process things it would otherwise process.
What's your honest opinion on Bitcoin?

Will it go to the Moon or one day simply crash and never recover?

BTC recently dipped below 100k and people are panicking. My honest take is that BTC will definitely go back up and rocket to at least 150k, perhaps even 200k. But the big picture? I think BTC has already seen its glory days.

The smartest individuals reject society and technology.
You might think the smartest ones adapt to the system and succeed in it. It's one type of intelligence, but true pioneers leave a broken system instead of keeping it alive for personal gain.

Every day I'm wondering if I should drop out from university and live in a tent. No job, no Internet connection, no smartphone. There's something about modern society that makes me feel sick, like I was in an invisible prison, separated from real life. Everything feels like a distraction. You know what I mean?

What if there really is no conspiracy and nobody in charge? What if society is just a headless blunder operating under the illusion of a master plan? Can you grasp that?

Only if you are geodesist and need to count how much angle on ground is.... Or if you are military and need to count angle of fly of bullet.

Vintage Laptops

Back in a simpler time laptops were not so powerful compared to modern standards they were much weaker than a desktop pc but still offered great and reliable work flows since software was optimized so well to fit the weak box's and give u a good experience unlike now where everything is just a bloated unoptimized mess where a simple program could take all your ram space for absolutely no reason.

I personally use my vintage laptops still and i benefit from the great programs we had back then plus i think working on these machines gives u a little more focus than working on something with full acess to the internet.

Based on your experiences guys what are your favorite programs to use on these old machines and what do you prefer to do them with personally (:

I used to have a Ferrari branded Windows XP laptop. It was red, of course. Some collector bought it.

” Manuli: I still have a Macbook Pro from 2011 or so. Still in immaculate condition. Gave it Linux and an SSD and it runs faster than some cheap modern laptops, which is insane. I'm not a huge fan of Apple, but they do make good products (hardware-wise). It has 16 GB of RAM, a discrete GPU, and an Intel i7. In 2011 this must have been quite the powerhouse.”
I've become a huge fan of this specific laptop and i really wish to get it someday. Although im not a fan of apple either you can't lie and say that their products are bad
